Abstract

This study aimed to identify the degree to which government school principals use strategic planning to reduce educational waste in the Capital Governorate of Amman, from the point of view of the principals themselves. This study utilized a questionnaire tool based on relevant research, focusing on five essential aspects: school vision, school mission, strategic objectives, and analyzing the internal and external environments of the school. The study population consisted of 184 principals, both male and female, intentionally selected and presented to specialists for validity and internal consistency. The results were as follows: the degree to which government school principals use strategic planning to reduce educational waste in the Capital Governorate of Amman reached a total score of 4.23. The study recommends spreading awareness among employees of the Ministry of Education about all the concepts of strategic planning, its importance, and the mechanisms for its application, as well as the optimal investment of available resources and teamwork.
