Abstract
This study aimed to identify the reality of employing artificial intelligence in the educational process from the point of view of the principals of public schools in the Bani Obaid District. The study sample consisted of 44 principals from public schools in the Bani Obaid District of Irbid Governorate, selected by a simple random method. The study used the descriptive survey method, with a questionnaire as the tool for data collection and analysis. The results showed an average level of artificial intelligence employment in the educational process from the perspective of the principals. Paragraph No. 7, which states, “The Ministry provides smart databases for use in decision-making,” ranked first with an average of 3.79. Paragraph No. 9, which reads, “It allows teachers to interact in the course, immerse themselves, control, and navigate within it using Virtual Reality Technologies,” ranked last, with a mean of 2.44. The study also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in the employment of artificial intelligence in the educational process from the perspective of the principals attributable to the gender of the principal. Considering this, the study presented a set of recommendations, most notably the adoption of artificial intelligence and its educational applications as part of the training programs for new teachers or through their university studies.
