Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree to which art and music supervisors practice the clinical supervision model from the perspective of art and music teachers in the Directorate of Education of the Qasabat Irbid District, as well as to understand the effect of gender and years of experience on that degree. The study sample consisted of 83 male and female public-school teachers in the Irbid district during the second semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. The study used the descriptive survey method, and a questionnaire was adopted as the tool for collecting the necessary data to achieve the study's objectives. The results did not show a statistically significant difference in the art and music teachers' assessments of the extent to which supervisors practice the clinical supervision model, based on the variables of gender and years of experience. Considering this, the study presented a set of recommendations, most notably the necessity of holding courses and workshops focused on employing modern modes of supervision, including the clinical supervision model, by the Ministry of Education for all art and music education supervisors.
