Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the flipped learning strategy on developing achievement and increasing motivation among vocational secondary first-grade students in management and occupational safety at King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein Secondary Comprehensive School for Boys in Ajloun Governorate. To achieve the objectives of the research, a quasi-experimental approach was used as it was deemed suitable for the study. The sample consisted of 50 vocational secondary first-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Two divisions were then chosen randomly from among five divisions and were divided into two groups. The experimental group consisted of 25 students who studied using the flipped learning strategy, and the control group consisted of 25 students who studied in the traditional way. The research was conducted during the second semester of the academic year 2021/2022. The research tools included an achievement test and a motivation scale. The results demonstrated that the flipped learning strategy had a positive and effective impact on raising the level of academic achievement for students, with an Eta square value of 0.843. The results also indicated an increase in motivation, with an Eta square value of 0.834, confirming the considerable effect of the strategy. Additionally, the results showed a positive relationship between achievement and increased motivation, with a relationship coefficient value of 0.871, which is statistically significant because of using the flipped learning strategy.
