Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the reciprocal teaching strategy in improving the learning of basic stage students from the perspective of Islamic education teachers in public schools under the First Zarqa Directorate of Education. The study adopted a descriptive survey approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool. The sample consisted of 175 male and female teachers from public schools in the First Zarqa Directorate of Education, selected through a cluster random sampling method.

The results indicated that the effectiveness of the reciprocal teaching strategy in improving students' learning, as perceived by Islamic education teachers, was high, with a mean score of 4.00. Additionally, the findings revealed statistically significant differences at the (α≤0.05) significance level in teachers' evaluations of the role of the reciprocal teaching strategy in enhancing student learning, attributed to gender, in favor of female teachers. However, no significant differences were found based on teaching experience.
