Abstract

The aim of this study is to reveal the degree of secondary school teachers› possession of the skills to use the MS-Teams program in distance learning in light of a number of variables at schools in the Kingdom of Bahrain from their point of view. To achieve this goal, the study adopted the descriptive method. A questionnaire was also used to collect the data. The study sample consisted of (350) teachers selected randomly from secondary school teachers in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The results of the study showed an average degree of secondary school teachers› possession of the skills in using the MS-Teams program in the distance learning process with the exception of the skills of operating and preparing the Teams program and the skill of creating the assignments and electronic tests of the teams in Teams, which came at a high degree. The results of the study also showed that there is no statistically significant difference at the level of a ≤ 0.05 between the averages of secondary school teachers’ assessments of their degree of major skills to use the Teams program in distance learning due to the gender variable, teaching experience and academic qualification with the exception of the skill of adding an educational channel to teams on MS-Teams. The difference was in favor of graduate studies. In addition, the results indicated that there is a statistically significant difference at the level of a ≤ 0.05 between the estimates of the study sample individuals to the extent of their possession of skills to use the MS-Teams in distance learning. This difference is attributed to the variable of training courses in Teams, which was in favor of those who joined training courses on Teams. The study recommended that more training courses and guidance be developed to teachers on how to use the Teams program in distance learning.
