Arbitration and publication procedures:

The papers submitted for publication are sent to arbitrators to be reviewed according to the scientific principles, and the research receives final acceptance after the researcher makes the amendments requested by the arbitrators, and the researchers are responsible for the contents of their research. The published research expresses the viewpoint of its authors and not the view of the journal. Arbitration and publication procedures are carried out according to the following:
1. The editorial board reviews the papers submitted to the journal to ensure that they meet the criteria for publication in the journal, and to determine their eligibility for arbitration.
2. The papers that meet the publishing standards are sent to two specialized arbitrators (reviewers), who are chosen by the editorial board in the strictest confidence, from among specialized professors in various universities and research centers, and that the arbitrator’s rank must not less than the researcher's rank.
3. Each arbitrator shall submit a report on the validity of the research for publication.
4. If the outcome of the two arbitrators is different (one of them is; acceptable and the other is; rejected), the search will send to a third arbitrator to be judged finally.
5. Researchers are informed of the editorial board’s decision to accept or reject the research within three months from the date of receiving it, and after making amendments to it, if any.
6. The researcher is provided with a copy of the issue in which the research was published.

Who Can Submit?

Anyone may submit an original article to be considered for publication in Journal of the Association of Arab Universities for Research in Higher Education (مجلة اتحاد الجامعات العربية (للبحوث في التعليم العالي provided he or she owns the copyright to the work being submitted or is authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works (an exception in the non-academic world to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).

General Submission Rules

Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. Formatting Requirements

Journal of the Association of Arab Universities for Research in Higher Education (مجلة اتحاد الجامعات العربية (للبحوث في التعليم العالي has no general rules about the formatting of articles upon initial submission. There are, however, rules governing the formatting of the final submission. See Final Manuscript Preparation Guidelines for details. Although bepress can provide limited technical support, it is ultimately the responsibility of the author to produce an electronic version of the article as a high-quality PDF (Adobe's Portable Document Format) file, or a Microsoft Word, WordPerfect or RTF file that can be converted to a PDF file.

It is understood that the current state of technology of Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF) is such that there are no, and can be no, guarantees that documents in PDF will work perfectly with all possible hardware and software configurations that readers may have.

Rights for Authors and Arab Journals Platform

As further described in our submission agreement (the Submission Agreement), in consideration for publication of the article, the authors assign to Arab Journals Platform all copyright in the article, subject to the expansive personal--use exceptions described below.

Attribution and Usage Policies

Reproduction, posting, transmission or other distribution or use of the article or any material therein, in any medium as permitted by a personal-use exemption or by written agreement of Arab Journals Platform, requires credit to Arab Journals Platform as copyright holder (e.g., Arab Journals Platform © 2024).

Personal-use Exceptions

The following uses are always permitted to the author(s) and do not require further permission from Arab Journals Platform provided the author does not alter the format or content of the articles, including the copyright notification:

  • Storage and back-up of the article on the author's computer(s) and digital media (e.g., diskettes, back-up servers, Zip disks, etc.), provided that the article stored on these computers and media is not readily accessible by persons other than the author(s);
  • Posting of the article on the author(s) personal website, provided that the website is non-commercial;
  • Posting of the article on the internet as part of a non-commercial open access institutional repository or other non-commercial open access publication site affiliated with the author(s)'s place of employment (e.g., a Phrenology professor at the University of Southern North Dakota can have her article appear in the University of Southern North Dakota's Department of Phrenology online publication series); and
  • Posting of the article on a non-commercial course website for a course being taught by the author at the university or college employing the author.

General Terms and Conditions of Use

Users of the Arab Journals Platform website and/or software agree not to misuse the Arab Journals Platform service or software in any way.

The failure of Arab Journals Platform to exercise or enforce any right or provision in the policies or the Submission Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any term of the Submission Agreement or these policies is found to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the Submission Agreement and these policies remain in full force and effect. These policies and the Submission Agreement constitute the entire agreement between Arab Journals Platform and the Author(s) regarding submission of the Article.

Publishing rules and documentation

Research preparation requirements and publication terms:

1.Research shall be accepted in both Arabic and English, provided that it is written in a sound language free from grammatical and linguistic errors.
2. Requests for publication of research papers shall be submitted through the following mail: al-majaleh@aaru.edu.jo, in (word) format.
3. Arabic research shall be written with Simplified Arabic font in size
(14) without any space among the lines, the bold font is used for the main title and for the subheadings (size 14), and the rest of the text is in regular font size (12), and (11) is normal for tables and figures..
4. English research shall be written with Times New Roman font in size (12) without any space among the lines, the bold font is used for the main title and for subheadings (size 14), and the rest of the text is in regular font size (12), and (10) is normal for tables. And shapes.
5. Margins of research in both Arabic and English are: 2.5 cm from all sides.
6. The search should not exceed (7000) words, and no more than (25) pages of (A4) size, including figures, drawings, tables, margins and references, noting that the appendices are not published, but are placed for the purposes of arbitration only.
7. The research must begin with a separate page including: the researcher's name, address and e-mail directly after the title of the research in both Arabic and English.
8. The research must include two abstracts, one in Arabic and the other in English, within the limits of (150-200) words each, taking into consider that the abstract includes the objectives of the research, its problem, methodology, and the most prominent results reached. Finally, it must have five keywords as a maximum for others to be able to access the search from the databases.
9. The research must include the main and common elements to the various research approaches, and take into consider the elements that must be available in the research in a sequential manner, namely; Introduction or background of the research topic, its problems, its literature, its justifications, and its importance. As well as the research methodology must be appropriated to the nature of the research problem, and included the procedures and quantitative or qualitative data that enabled the researcher to address, within clear research determinants and assumptions. The research has to end with results that discussed in a scientific discussion based on an intellectual framework and recommendations based on those results. Then the references.
10. The research should be characterized by novelty, originality and objectivity, and it should represent a new addition to knowledge in its field.
11. The research should not be published or submitted for publication in another journal. The researcher should undertake in writing, that his research will not be submitted for publication to any other party until the arbitration procedures are completed and the appropriate decision is taken in this regard.
12. The research should not be a chapter or part of a published book, and the researcher must indicate in the margin of the title page that his research is drawn from a master's thesis or a doctoral thesis if that is.
13. It is not permissible to research to publish the research or parts of it in another place, after approval of its publication in the journal, except after obtaining a written letter from the editor-in-chief of the journal.
14. The journal reserves the right to ask the researcher to re-write the research, or any part of it, to be suitable to the publishing policy, and the journal may make any modifications that are appropriate to the nature of the journal.
15. The researcher is obligated to pay the expenses (costs) of the peer reviewing procedures if researcher requests to withdraw the research and wishes not to proceed with the evaluation procedures.
16. Charts, draws, and illustrative shapes shall be included in the text, numbered sequentially, and titled, with explanatory notes that shall be written under them.
17. The tables shall be included in the body of the text, and their titles shall be written over them. Explanatory notes are written under tables.
18. The researcher shall be notified of the final decision of the editorial board to accept or reject his research within three months from the date of receiving the research.
19. Research received in the journal will not be returned to authors, whether it is accepted for publication or not.
20. The journal does not consider the research contrary to the instructions and publishing rules.

Documentation:

1. The journal adopts the (APA) guide for scientific publishing in general, and the reference is indicated in the text directly after the quotation paragraph according to the following order: “The author's family name, year of publication, page number.” As for the order of the list of sources and references at the end Search according to the “alphabetical (ABCD) order” of the author's nickname / title, followed by the author's name, the title of the book or research, (place of publication, publisher, edition, year of publication) of the part or volume, and the list must not contain any source or reference not mentioned In the body of the research. In the absence of an edition, the researcher places (n.ed), and in the absence of the publishing house, the researcher places (n.h). Absence of a year or publication date, the researcher puts (n.d).
2. The researcher can interpret the ambiguous words or terms by using the footnotes method in the text, where the term to be clarified is indicated by a number at the top of the term, then these margins are indicated in a separate list before the list of sources and references.

4. In case of using the Arabic sources and references, researcher must translate them into English and place them after the list of Arab references and sources themselves, so that the order of references will be as following: Arabic references, translated Arabic references, foreign references.

Conditions for submitting the research:

1- A letter addressed from the researcher to the editor-in-chief, including his desire to publish his research in the journal, specifying the precise specialization of the research.
2- An undertaking form with the researcher’s signature, confirming that the research has not been published or submitted for publication in another conference or journal, or that it is extracted from a book, and the researcher determines whether the research is derived from a master's thesis or a doctoral thesis, and clarify this on the margin of Title page with mentioning the researcher's name and address, in addition to brief information about title and specialization..
3- A brief CV of the researcher that includes: four name, place of work, academic degree, academic rank, and precise specialization, in addition to e-mail and both fixed and mobile phone numbers.
4- If they were not mentioned in the body of the research or in its appendices, the researcher must submit a copy of each of the research appendices (if any) such as software, tests, questionnaires, etc., and undertake in writing to preserve the intellectual rights of others.
5- The researcher must avoid any sign that may indicate his personality in any of the research pages, in order to ensure complete confidentiality in the arbitration process.

Peer Review (Double Blinded):

The researches submitted for publication are sent to experts to be reviewed according to the scientific principles, and the research receives final acceptance after the researcher makes the amendments requested by the reviewers, and the researchers are responsible for the contents of their research. The published research expresses the viewpoint of its authors and not the view of the journal.

The peer review is implemented as following:

1. The editorial board reviews the papers submitted to the journal to ensure that they meet the criteria for publication in the journal, and to determine their eligibility for reviewed.
2. The papers that meet the publishing standards are sent to two specialized reviewers(blinded review), who are chosen by the editorial board in the strictest confidence, from among specialized professors in various universities and research centers, and that the reviewer’s rank must not less than the researcher's rank.
3. Each reviewer shall submit a report on the validity of the research for publication.
4. If the outcome of the two reviewers is different (one of them is; acceptable and the other is; rejected), the search will send to a third reviewer to be judged finally.
5. Researchers are informed of the editorial board’s decision to accept or reject the research within three months from the date of receiving it, and after making amendments to it, if any.
6. The researcher is provided with a copy of the issue in which the research was published.
