The aim of this study is to evaluate the experience of self-evaluation in the University of Abdelhamid Mehri Constantine 2 and to identify its various procedures, and to know their weaknesses and strengths in order to ensure assurance quality in their different activities. To achieve the aim of the study we used descriptive approach where we presented the evaluation reference which is included four areas: the formation, the scientific research, the governance and the life at university, this self-evaluation involved the different actors of the university especially the university president, heads of departments, administrators, researchers, heads of laboratories, students and other actors, to realizing an objective evaluation for the different sides of the university. The study concluded to identify the weaknesses and the strengths of Abdelhamid Mehri Constantine 2 University; such as its interest in quality in all its aspects, its acquisition of material and human resources and important laboratories, and the University's efforts to ensure transparency in its various administrative work and its use of various software in its various operations. The lack of facilities for people with special needs, and the lack of openness of the university to its economic environment have reduced the chances of strengthening the training of students and researchers, and it's provided some recommendations to encourage self-evaluation in their university to achieve assurance quality, and the Importance to put on an evaluation reference which suitable for the Algerian universities.
