Abstract

The purpose of this study was to construct a scale for assessing the students of the Faculty of Education at Kuwait University from the perspective of the ethics of the education profession and using it to assess the level of assimilation of those ethics. To achieve this goal, a scale was prepared. It consisted of 39 standards. Each standard has three performance indicators for each level of the assimilation of the educational ethics. The psychometric properties of the scale were verified. The results showed that the scale has good internal consistency validity. The value of the Cronbach Alpha for the scale was estimate 0.958, and it indicated a good reliability value. The scale was applied to a sample of 400 male and female students from the Faculty of Education at Kuwait University. The results showed that the degree of possession of professional standards by the students of the Faculty of Education from the perspective of the ethics of the education profession came at a partial assimilation level. The results of the study did not show statistically significant differences at the level of significance of 0.05 due to the three variables (specialty, level of study, and accumulative rate).
