Abstract
This study aimed at identifying the most important science education topics that have been studied in some of the Arabian Gulf education journals in the period between 2011 and 2015. The study sample included 100 articles in science education. These articles were studied and analyzed using analysis research that is based on content analysis through the use of content analysis card to identify the most important research topics in scienceeducation, the used research methods, and the statistical tools used. The study used percentages and repetitions to analyze its findings. The findings have shown most of the science education topics were published in 2012 and 2014 while the most important studied topics were teaching, nature of science and education (learning?). The findings also show that most of the studies focused more on science rather than its branches and the most research methods used were quantitative and un-experimental ones and most were of single authors. T-test was the most used statistical tool. Sample sizes (31-100, 101-300) were the most used ones. Intermediate school level was the most examined. The study recommended that more attention should be given to the less studied and focused upon science education topics including computer -assisted teaching, concept analysis, attitudes and tendencies analysis, test and metrics development or translation and finally research methods in science education .
