Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the impact of a counseling program based on positive psychology In the cut Depression among a sample of cancer patients in Jordan, and the sample was formed (30) afflicted with cancer, who obtained the lowest marks in the two study scale (depression) , They were distributed intentionally into two groups: an experimental person to which the counseling program was applied, and a control who was not exposed to the extension program As each group included (15) patients with cancer, at the University Hospital , The study also relied on the quasi-experimental method. To identify the impact of the counseling program on the study sample of female cancer sufferers, The researcher developed a depression scale, and after verifying their validity and reliability, they were applied to the two groups before and after the counseling program was applied The results of the study showed , have Statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) between the average responses of the members of the experimental and control groups on the depression scale in its total significance and its sub-dimensions in favor of the experimental group to which the existing counseling program was applied Psycholog Positive, and as the results showed by using the t-test of the associated samples, the experimental group retained the effect of the effectiveness of the extension program after (3) weeks of its application. The study recommended applying the positive psychology program to other variables, and in the educational and counseling process.
