Abstract
The study aimed to evaluate the practice of alternative assessment strategies and tools in the Master of Physical Education programs at Yarmouk University. The descriptive approach was used on a sample of (84) male and female students. Data were collected with a group-specific interview card tool at (15) students per group. Data were processed in the program ( SPSS), and the results revealed that the practice of alternative assessment strategies was medium, alternative performance-based strategies were high, while evaluation tools were weak, responses did not differ by sex; except for the strategy of communication in favor of females, and differed according to the hours cut in observation and communication strategies and m The self-review was in favor of (12) hours, and the responses did not differ in the strategies of performance, pen and paper, the responses differed by sex in the evaluation tools and in favor of the females, and in the hours cut in favor of (15) hours.
