Abstract

The study aimed at evaluating the biology book for the ninth grade in Jordan from the viewpoint of biology teachers in public schools in Qweismeh district. To achieve this goal, the study was conducted on a sample of (100) male and female biology teachers for ninth grade during the first semester of the academic year (2020/2021) in public schools in Qwaismeh district. the researcher used a questionnaire consisting of the following areas: (the general appearance of the book, the introduction of the book, the content of the book, the means and activities in the book, the contribution of the book in the development of students' attitudes towards biology, assessment methods included in the book, the appropriateness of the number of lessons for the content, the availability of laboratories and materials to implement activities, and suitable language book). The results of the study showed that the level of teachers 'appreciation of biology textbooks was generally high, the results also showed that there were no significant differences due sex variables, educational qualification, years of experience, and training courses in which the teacher participated in the level of teachers' assessment of biology textbooks they taught.
