Abstract
The study aimed to reveal the trends of teaching Islamic education research published in scientific journals issued by Jordanian and Palestinian universities for the years (2020-2021), which numbered (38) research published in (22) journals, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the content analysis method was used. The content analysis card was also used, and the results indicated that the percentage of research related to teaching Islamic education in these journals amounted to (1.60%), and that most of the research was in the component of teaching strategies (55.26%), while no study examined the component of educational objectives. And that most of the research used the quantitative research type (94.74%), the quasi-experimental methodology (50.00%), and that the mixed methodology was not used. These research targeted communities of school students (52.63%), students of the seventh to tenth grades (23.68%), while other communities did not target, and that most of the research was used. Tutorial Design Tool (26.39%). The focus was on the student's corner first (63.27%), and the environment corner was not addressed. And that most of the research has been based on theories of the process-oriented approach (45%). Considering these results, the study made several relevant recommendations, such as building a database for Islamic education research.
